Billy Brownless was an exciting forward for Geelong for over ten years.
Rated third on Geelong's all-time goalkicking list behind Gary Ablett and Doug Wade, Brownless initially established himself as full forward during the team's free-scoring days in the late eighties and early nineties.
Despite four Grand Final appearances, Brownless never played in a winning side, going close in 1989 when he played at full forward in Geelong's epic Grand Final against Hawthorn.
Brownless had to contend with a number of injuries in the final few years of his career and at the end of the 1997 season he announced his retirement, finishing the career of one of Geelong's most effervescent characters.
Brownless now pursues an active media career with involvement on the following high profile programs:
GTV 9's The Footy Show - Billy hosts the popular Wheel segment, travelling to local footy clubs all over Australia each week.
He also appears on the Sunday Footy Show panel to review the weekends' games.
Billy is a regular host of The Big Screen Footy Show program at the MCG and Colonial matches this season.
Billy also works in Marketing at the Geelong Football Club, playing an important role in raising funds for the club.
Billy is married to Nicky and has three kids under four - Lucy, Ruby and Oscar.
